Opening Day “Messabout” & Clubhouse Reopening
The AYC Board would like to invite our membership to Opening Day Activities on the water and at the Clubhouse on Saturday, May 1st. A “Messabout” including power and sail will commence at 12:00 PM and tour Fidalgo Bay. Very similar to the same event last year. At this time the Port of Anacortes has not scheduled any activities for Opening Day.
Registration is required for all people whether you are having dinner or just attending the event.
Dinner selections are:
1. Brewer’s Salad with 4oz Salmon Fillet (salad will consist of fresh greens, grape tomatoes, roasted corn, grated carrots, cucumbers with honey lager vinaigrette)
2. Italian Bay Shrimp Pasta Salad (bay shrimp, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, red onion, feta cheese, red and green bell peppers). Served with chips.
3. Thai Chicken Wrap (chicken, Thai peanut sauce, lettuce, shredded carrots, green onions, and bell pepper wrapped in a sundried tomato tortilla). Served with chips.
Dessert will be an ice cream bar.
At this time, we are planning to open our clubhouse at 5:00 PM. Participation at the Club will be limited to 80 members due to current covid restrictions. Rockfish Grill will be catering individually boxed cold dinners (options below). Registration will begin on Monday, April 12th via a portal in the weekly “Action Alert”. Registration will end at 5:00pm on Monday, April 26th . The price for each dinner is $20 and will include an AYC Covid face mask.
