SUMMER SERIES & 6:30 PM STARTS!
Summer is here! And the Summer Series is happening every Wednesday night from July 3rd through August 7th - All starts at 6:30pm. To spice things up in July we will have the Guemes Island Night Race July 20th starting at 7:30pm. It’s a great tune up for the Northern Century happening August 16th-18th. Time to get those Nav lights working!
The Racing has been spectacular this year with lots of boats on the starting line. Congratulations to the SOLSTICE SERIES winners:
Class 1 RECON
Class 2 AVALON (nudged out MORE UFF-DA! by one point!)
Class 3 THOR Well done to the Art Herbert and the Skallywag crew!
Class 4 SANCTUARY
There were great examples of “strategic grilling tactics” employed to get the edge on competitors. Well done! - First it makes for delicious dinners for all the racers, and it keeps things interesting on the score sheet too!
In distance racing news The OTTERSTEDT ISLAND SERIES finished up and congratulations to KINETIC with a 3rd 1st and 2nd place finishes. The SALISH SERIES is the next distance series on the calendar for September 7th Bird Rocks Pursuit Race!
NORTHERN CENTURY happens August 16th -18th.
