First Aid for Coastal Cruisers and Sailboat Racers
Our Presenters are Dr Ken Oates and Dr Tom Norris - both AYC Members and experienced cruisers on the Salish Sea. Ken is a retired orthopedic surgeon and will cover how to handle traumatic injuries that can happen on boats, as well as other problems that could lead to the need for surgery. Tom is a retired family physician and former Navy doctor on submarines. Tom will cover the non-trauma caused problems that might occur on our boats.
A handout will be provided, along with copies of slides for note taking.
